The destiny of the Statue of Zeus

The Byzantine rulers put the statue being rather careful in Constantinople. They were Christianity followers but they didn't dare to damage the statue. Even the Christianity fans that were the enemies of the pagan beauty didn't dare to damage the sculpture. Byzantine emperors valued the art works as the whole art. But the real God punished Zeus and all people who didn't dare to damage the statue as in 5th century AC the palace of the Emperor Pheodosyi II was burned. The wooden statue became the victim of the fire and only several pieces and the shining of the gold were left from the creation of the author.
In such way the seventh wonder of the world died. And such disappearance of statue provoked many questions among scientists of the modern world. They needed some evidence, so they started to look for something that may prove the existence of the statue and give its descriptions.
Nowadays the attempt to fond the studio of Phidius was made. The creation of such statue demanded a lot of time of working. So, Phisius and his helpers needed big room to work in. After all the statue of Zeus was not the marble stone that can pass the winter outsides.
The attention of the German archaeologists was attracted by the excavations held in Olympia where the ancient temple rebuilt into the Christian church was found. There people found a great number of evidences such as instruments and plans that prove the author was working in this room.
