The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are younger than the pyramids. They were built at the time when "The Odysseus" already existed and when the Greek cities were rebuilt. And these gardens are more similar to the culture of Egypt than to the culture of Greece. Gardens symbolize the end of the Assyrian and Babylon country that turned into the Ancient Egypt that was its competitor. And if the Pyramids survived everything and everybody and till nowadays fascinate people, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon didn't live for a long time and were lost with the Babylon that was great but not rather strong giant made of clay.
Babylon was dieing day by day and from the great country turned into one of the centres of regions of the Great Roman Empire. Such decision was made by Alexander the Great who didn't build any Wonder of the World but who influenced the destiny of almost all of them. And when he was seriously ill, he ordered to put him in the Gardens.
Nabuchodonosor built the Hanging Gardens to honour his young wife as he loved her a lot and she was missing the green trees and flowers in the hot and sandy capital.
To build the Gardens for the queen, Nabuchodonosor gave all power he had. He hired the best mathematicians and builders. And Babylon proved that it can create the monument to love. And the name of the queen mixed with the name of another Assyrian queen and people started to call the gardens Semyramida's Gardens.
