The only Wonder that was kept till nowadays
The only Wonder of the Ancient world that was kept till nowadays was the Pyramids of Egypt. The Ancient Egyptian architecture even nowadays impresses with its power and greatness. And sometimes it is even possible to get lost among the great variety of the pyramids. The entrance of these temples is guarded by the huge statues of pharaohs and by the lying sphinxes. Sphinx of the Ancient Egypt is the sign of the king's power and the statue images the fantastic creature with the body of the lion and the head of the person or the saint animal.
About five thousand years ago the first small slavery countries appeared in the valley of the Nile. In the end of the 4th century BC the rulers of one of them conquered the whole country creating the only kingdom with the centre in the city Memphis that was situated on the left bank of the river Nile. About 2800 years BC the ruler of this country was pharaoh Hufu. Later he got the Greek name Heops.
Nowadays we use the Greek name to name him. Pharaoh had the richness and unlimited power. The grandfather and the father of Heops were spending their treasure not only on the natural luxury, and the great tombs that were pyramids that had to immortalize the names of the great rulers. Their slaves were building the dykes, channels to provide water to all necessary lands. And thanks to it Egypt had always good harvest and that brought new profits to pharaohs.
But Heops wanted to bring fame to himself. The mortal life is very short and the real home for the person is the tomb and the eternal place of living. In such way the first pyramids were built.
