The Pyramids of Egypt
Everybody knows how many interesting and mysterious discoveries were made by scientists at the territory of the Ancient Egypt. The tombs and temples of this country gave a lot of magical objects. But the greatest miracle of Egypt that impressed people both in Ancient times and nowadays was Pyramids. Pyramids are beautiful artificial mountains that are the tombs of the ancient kings.
Pyramids seem to grow from the sand of the desert and they are so huge and great that they depress the person with their great sizes and the severity of their limits. Being at the foot of the pyramid it is difficult to imagine that these big stone mountains were created by the hands of people. But they were really built of the stones as children make pyramids using blocks. Thousands of slaves and Egyptians had to work to create these huge buildings destined to hide the body of the king in their centres.
And creating such big tombs, pharaoh created the eternal home for his soul.
The first pharaoh to build the pyramid was Joser. This is the most ancient pyramid in Egypt and consists of six huge steps. Before this pyramid's building Egyptians built the tombs with the square form made of stone. During the digging near this pyramid scientists found the temple which had the statue to the pharaoh and the pieces of pedestal where the name of the inventor Imhotep was written. He was the first to create the pyramid.
